Daily Prompt: Reading Material

How do you pick what blogs or books to read? What’s the one thing that will get you to pick up a book or click on a link every single time?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us CHOICES.

Obviously I pick what I read based on whether or not I can relate to the title/cover/synopsis.

It should be about real things and not fictional stuff or crazy motivational/psychology books. The book title shouldn’t be Chicken Soup For X. However, blog posts that mock the Chicken Soup series would be great. If a book gets too much publicity, I’ll think many times over before picking it up to read.

Books about historical events are a delight. So are autobiographical accounts of people who lived during a difficult time in history. That book by Anne Frank, tho, was not really my thing.

These days I have taken a liking to cookbooks and books on art. That has probably got to do with the wedding. While on the topic, I should also remark that those books on fashion are useless and disgusting.
